Hello,

My browser ( sp1 with latest patches ) on xpsp2 stay in a
not responding state when I am clicking on a hyperlink or
when a new page is open using the windon.open javascript
function. This occurs three times a minutes on different
click and can't be reproduce easily or never occurs during
a half day.

I tried the regsvr32 urlmon.dll but it doesn't correct the
problem and the reinstallation of the browser doesn't
correct he problem also. Sometimes an about.html blank
window is open and no progress bar is presented on the
bottom of the window. I checked and the web server doesn't
received the request.

Maybee somebody had to face to the same problem and found
a answer ?

Many thanks by advance .

Frédéric

1. Click [Start] [Run] type:
(Press Enter after each command)
Regsvr32 /i URLMON.DLL
Regsvr32 actxprxy.dll
Regsvr32 shdocvw.dll

2. Restart Windows
3. Open IE [Tools] [nternet Options] [Programs] [Reset Web Settings]

If this does not help, run this fix: Based on MSKB article:

Manual procedure: (Microsoft Knowledge article link)
