On the server, SBS2K3 std, I could browse all computers on different subnets
using explorer. I could manage the computers using the management snapins.

By mistake, I ran the RAS Wizard, because the server kept warning me to.
which I ended up not needing since VPN's are taken care of by the external
firebox.

Anyways, since then, I can only see and manage the LAN hosts now. The WAN
hosts are lost, can't be found.

I can ping them from the DOS command in every which way, except with the '\\'.

I disabled RRAS, but it did not undo the changes it made. I must get this
fixed ASAP. Thanks for any assistance.

Is this only for Routing OR is it just a problem
for dial-up or VPN connections?

If it's routing, even involving VPNs etc then it is
likely a WINS server or assignment of the WINS
server address to the clients -- including ALL
machines like servers, DCs etc.

Not sure what you did here.

If the external firewall is accepting the VPN
connections then RRAS has little or nothing to
do with the problem.

Is RRAS functioning as a router etc....?

"See"? What's that mean? Network Neighborhood
browse lists or something else?

Browse lists are almost always a WINS (sever) or
client setting problem. People forget to assign the
WINS server to ALL their machines, or to assign
it in the WAN client (and VPN) settings, or have
multiple WINS servers not replicating etc.

I can ping them from the DOS command in every which way, except with the
'\\'.

"\\" ??? That isn't browsing -- that's name resolution
(and they are in no way the same although commonly
confused.)

Browsing arranges to display the lists in Network
Neighborhood etc. -- name resolution takes a name
(clicked or typed) and turns it into an address.

One can be broken while the other works and therefore
it is very important to isolate WHICH is the problem
to know how to fix it.

Can you do "net view \\servername" or just by IP?
Net view like that is NAME resolution.

Can you do "net view /domain:DomainName" ? this
is roughly equivalent to looking at that domain in
the Browser.

I am not sure your problem is directly related to RRAS
unless RRAS is routing or supplying VPN/dial connections.
