Sean

I have installed spysweepr, Adaware and HijackThis to my
system.
When I check the registry under HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-
1659004503-1580818891-854345398-500
\Software\Microsoft\InternetExplorer\SearchUrl, I find
http://topotun.com/index.htm.
I have run all three utilities and have spysweeper
minimized in the systray. Every few minutes a spysweeper
window will pop up telling me that my homepage has changed
and would i like to change it back to my original. I know
a little about the registry (very LITTLE) and have
manually deleted the entries for TOPOTUN but they keep
returning. Is there anything i can do to get rid of this?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

You can disallow permissions on this registry key:
1) Run regedt32.exe
2) Browse to the key and remove the current contents as you did
previously. On the "Security" menu select "Permissions..."
3) Click "Advanced...", click "Add..." and add the group Everyone.
4) In the "Deny" column mark the checkbox "Set value"
5) Click OK several times to close all the dialogs

The effect is that no one will be able to edit the value. To revert
this, remove Everyone from the list.
