I know most people are concerned about wiping out their browser history, but
I want to save it.

I have a pretty good program for IE, called IEHistoryView, but it is limited
to displaying what's in the IE History file, and that's limited to the
number of days set in IE.

I'd like to find a program which maintains a perpetual history, and is NOT
limited to any given number of days.

I've looked for an extension to do the same thing for Firefox, but so far
have found nothing.

Anybody have a program to recommend for this purpose?

For what it's worth, Firefox lets me specify 99999 as the number of
days to store its history... which equates to 273 years (not taking
Leap Years into account). Long enough for you? :)

From what I can see, the Firefox "History" function lets you see only the
title of the visited page. It doesn't show the URL or the time of last
visit. :(
