Hi all,

I'm a second year grad student in Human Factors Engineering program at San
Jose State. I am starting my thesis on the topic of browser design and
addressing cognitive limitations of users. As part of my experiment, I need
to create a browser with advanced history mechanisms (i.e. 2-D representation
of already-visited pages, frequency-ordered history list), but I do not know
where to start. I know that you can manipulate features of IE that allows
you to have these advanced history mechanims functions, but again I do not
know how that is done. So, please provide any knowledge you have about this
area. I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

I haven't a clue how IE does this nor about what you're trying to do. It's
well beyond my scope of knowledge and I'm comfortable saying that because
there are a number of things that I don't understand. What I think I might
have handy (seeing as no one has answered your post at this point) is a good
place for you to get a bit of information. I happen to know about a decent
small browser that has some capabilities including history features. This
isn't quite OpenSource but it has a great deal of information available with
it and while I don't know specifically what you're after I suspect that you
do and that this place might be able to get you started. Let it not be said
I wasn't honest in my lack of knowledge ;)
