I have made a site in ASP deployed it on Microsoft IIS5.0.
The site works very fine when opened with Netscape. But it
hangs after a few clicks or page transitions in Internet
Explorer 6.0. Some of my friends say that IE 6.0 has got
some problems. Is it so or there is some other possibilty.
All objects(like connection or recordsets) are being
closed & resources are being made free properly in my
coding. I have also checked my javascript. It doesn't have
any errors.

Pls. tell me abt the likely causes and their remedies.
Pls. do it fast. its urgent..........

I haven't yet uploaded the site. Its on my local testing
server. I can't upload it for client until & unless i get
a solution for this problem

Well then how are we supposed to know what's going on if you don't provide
us with any information. It would be like me saying, 'my car doesn't work,
fix it' when you can't even look at it...

....oh PS, did you send the report to microsoft when IE crashed. Quite often
they have fixes, I encountered an error (my computer was supposedly up to
date via windows update) where IE crashed, I sent the error report and got a
more information link. It turned out to be something to do with lazy content
update (somethink like that - I don't really remember), anyway, there was a
patch that it told me to download and it worked.

Look up Q332184, this patch has been fixing our browsers
with problems like you described. The reasons are vague
and I would like to know why, if it works for you.
Someone with web site development might understand it
better than me. Thanks

AC,

There may be other causes for the same symptom.
For example, some users of Zone Alarm Pro 3.x
who have reported such a symptom have seen it go away
after uninstalling ZAP.
