just loaded the IE6 SP1, now every time I launch IE the
title bar shows up, but the browser page doesn't, and I
have to maximize the page to view it. Can someone tell me
what the deal is with this and how to fix it?
Thanks
Jack

Hi Jack,
Try to drag the edges of the window to the size you want
it to be, then close the window. Next time it should open
as you wish...

I am having the same problem and have not found a
solution. Just noticed that today, Jan. 6, there is
another posting of this same error from "thewolf". I
hope someone helps us out with this.

What you see is the smallest windows size possible.

Open such a link.
Don't use the maximize button.
Stretch the edges/corners so that the window fills the screen.
Close all other IE windows.
Close the stretched window last.

Hi Jack;
I've been having a similar problem, only my situation only
happens if I'm browsing and a link calls for a new page to
be opened. Sometimes it opens as a small dot that I can't
change the size of. However, like your case, the title bar
shows active. I have to maximize it by right-clicking.

You should check to ensure that your IE icon is set to
open IE in maximized mode. You can check that by right-
clicking on the icon and checking the properties. I posted
a query on this newsgroup as well, maybe we can watch both
questions for the answer.
Good Luck
Bmac
