I need advice on the following problem.
IE 6 crashes on startup. It opens for a moment and then
quits.
Running windows XP home Edition.

Attempted Remedies:

reinstalled IE6 service pack 1 (via AOL)/ no effect

save IEsetup.exe to desktop, try to reinstall /prompt
says newer version in place, cannot reinstall

attempted to delete existing copy / prompt says that IE
is in use and cannot be deleted.

Don't know what else to try, any advice will be greatly
appreciated. please reply via email
