My browser closes sporadically without warning. I am
running McAfee Home Edition which tells me I am virus-
free. I have checked my machine and removed
W32.HLLW.Gaobot.AE. I have checked for FixSbigF.exe and
beliwve I am free of it.

Any suggestions on why this happens and what I can
do about it?

Things to check. From previous post not edited.

Whenever I enter page setup in Internet Explore,Internet explorer closes
down with no error messages

Hi all, I am a technician who has seen this problem a few times. I
have found the systems to be infected with the SobigF virus. Symantec
has a removal tool if you go to:

IE 6. with spywares.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit is with these
tools.

Does anyone know why typing in http;//www.facelink.com
with or without a persons facelink page closes my browser >window?

Tools/internet options/advanced/Microsoft VM
....only tick the JIT compiler box and leave the Java boxes un checked
(default)
when running Win 95 IE 5.5, else the browser window closes.
Same thing for IE 6, confirmed.

Every time I click on a link that opens to a new window, Internet Explorer
browser closes. Or if a pop-up appears, the browser closes. Help?

I fixed the problem! I found the solution to my problem.

Start->Control Panel->Regional & Language Options-
Languages Tab->Details->Select Speech Recognition->Press
Remove->Press OK

Weird but it worked!
