I am new to using this newsgroup, so please bear with me.
I have been having problems with opening links to web
pages lately in my Outlook Express. Since I downloaded
some critical updates, it has started opening all links in
Netscape Navigator where as before it would go through my
internet explorer. I was advised by a computer technician
that I could go into my control panel and remove the
netscape communicator program as it is just another type
of browser. I did this, but now I cannot open links in
emails at all. I know that somewhere it must be missing
a "mapping" sequence somewhere that I need to enter. Any
help would be appreciated.

Thanks

In IE, look for the Tools menu. Internet options, programs tab.
"Reset web settings"

Put a checkmark in the box where it says that IE should check to see
that it is the default browser (might be done by the reset function).
Apply and okay your way out. The next time you open IE, it will ask
for confirmation.

1. Click [Start] [Run] type:
(Press Enter after each command)
Regsvr32 /i URLMON.DLL
Regsvr32 actxprxy.dll
Regsvr32 shdocvw.dll

2. Restart Windows
3. Open IE [Tools] [nternet Options] [Programs] [Reset Web Settings]

If this does not help, run this fix: Based on MSKB article:
