Browser bug

Everything works but I can't do certain things because of
a Browser bug. It tells me to reinstall IE. I have IE 6
and when I go to fix or reinstall, it tells me it can't
fix but won't reinstall because everything is in order.
It won't let me reinstall over the existing IE 6. Should
I uninstall and then reinstall or what? I'd appreciate
any advice you can give me. If I did uninstall and
reinstall, what problems might occurr?

Method 2 works on earlier Windows versions.
 
I don't know what bug I have only that it tells me I have
one. I have AdAware and run that every day. I only find
low risk cookies which I quarantine and later delete.
