browser bookmark management, several PCs

Now that I have a home wireless network I always seem to be looking for a
bookmark stored on other than the PC I happen to be using. One thing I'm
considering to get this under control is:

Write a PERL script that will gather up the bookmarks on each PC, create a
web page from those, give that web page a unique name, and store it in a
shared folder accessible to all PCs. This could even be done automatically
(totally hands off) without going through the browser export function, each
time the PC is booted.

Has anyone solved this issue with off-the-net freeware?

Thanks.

Neat idea.

Using the same browser on all of those machines?
