IE6 is becoming very frustrating; it "hijacks" my computer
while I am engaged in AOL activity, i.e. message boards, e-
mail, etc., and apparently opens other windows in the
background. The only reason I know what's happening is
that I open Windows Task Manager and these activities show
up on the list of running applications.

Is this the issue?

Stop Messenger SPAM
The developer of the messenger spam software indicates on their web site
that "these messages are completely anonymous and virtually untraceable.
With this program your IP address never shows up anywhere."
