Brother Paper Error

Every time I do a Print Page, the sheet will print fine but I will get
a paper error afterwards and must open the front panel to clear it.
There is usually no paper jams on this HL5040, just a paper error.
Pulls the page perfectly each time! This happens even when I print a
settings page through powerup with USB disconnected. I've cleaned all
rollers and inspected all paper switches I can find. Ideas?

Thanks, LjM

I pulled the front panel off and the underlying metal cover and cleaned
the roller there as well as the three visible once the drum/toner
assembly is removed, and finally the roller that is visible once the
paper tray is removed. This roller has a release on the right side
that when toggled will let this particular roller be removed for
thorough cleaning. I'd already done this before posting but found
another person had used Armor All on his rollers and so tried that as a
last resort. He suggested letting it dry overnight. I only allowed 5
minutes. It worked the first test, failed the second, and has worked
great since. Thanks for the suggestion. Would have thought it would
have made the rollers too slick. For best results let it dry for at
least an hour if it doesn't work at first.

It's now been a couple days and I've printed many sheets and not a
single jam or paper error.
