Hi,
Yes I know I've been stupid. I had to take the cover off my Brother
HL 1250 printer to clear a paper jam. As I took off the greay plastic
outer cover, a small piece of black plastic "fell off".
Where it came from I have no idea
It's undamaged, so it must slot in somewhere. I believe it is
something to do with the "paper detector" as the piece has two small
spindles upon which it can "swivel" (I can see similar things on my
other "non Brother" printers when I remove the paper tray)
I have tried Brother support, but can speak to them as the printer is
out of "warranty" and I cannot obtain a copy of the service manual.
I know it's a long shot, but does anyone have any idea what I am
talking about ?
Thanks
Paul
