I'm running Windows XP Pro SP2. I'm using the Brother Hl-1440 series,
version 1.42 for Windows 2000 (latest version available, XP compatible)
printer driver, and the ROM version of my HL-1440 is 1.03. I open
"Printers and Faxes," right-click on the HL-1440, properties, on the
General tab, click the "Printing Preferences" button, go to the Support
tab, and click on "Print Config." This prints out a sheet entitled
"Print Configuration." There are a number of sections, and the second
to last header says "Copy Pages," and then underneath it says "Copy
Pages" and a number, in this case, 1. I called Brother, and they said
that the "copy pages" section is for copiers, and that this was because
the printer driver is also used for machines that copy. I think that
the "copy pages" section could be the number of pages printed since the
drum counter was reset. I cannot find any documentation on how to
interpret the "Print Configuration" on Brother.com. Does anyone know
what exactly the "Copy Pages" counter is tracking, if anything? Thanks.
