Brother HL-1440 Page Count HowTo

I was trying to get a page count on my Brother HL-1440. Could not get
one with a printer test page or a configuration page thru Windows.

Here's what you have to do:

1. Connect the printer to the PC directly through the parallel port.

2. Go to Start, Programs, Brother HL-1440, Printer Information.

3. Click the logical port LPT-1, LPT-2, or LPT-3, then click OK.

This method will not work if connected via USB, or thru a print
server. It must be through a parallel port.

Download and install the driver for the HL-1435. It works for the 1440. Just
select Printer Information from the Start | Programs... and one of the choices
is USB
