I'm planning on buying either a Brother HL-1430 or HP LaserJet 1010 laser
printer.

Which one do you think I should choose?

They are about same price, but what about the running costs? Wondering about
which one has the lowest cost pr. print.

Thanks, Jens.

HP LJ 1100. It is a lot easier to get parts when it is broke. Very few shops
work on Brother printers because the parts/comsumables are expensive and hard to
find.

I do Laser Printer Repairs and I don't touch the Brother Printers.

My two cents.

Here in the UK.

Cheap refills of HP cartridges are usually easier to get than brother.

We have had an HP4L running for 7 (I think) years, and it's still going
strong, but I have *never* got through on their help line, even after
hanging on for an hour when the line dropped, so there are issues we've
never resolved.

OTH we bought a Brother HL1850 a few months ago. Have rung their help
line twice, and got straight through (well one minute delay), and had
helpful advice. Once, they got an engineer on the road within half an
hour when the tech department couldn't resolve it - *after phoning me
back*!! However, I used the logic of their questions to solve the
problem and was able to deal with it myself (software incompatibility),
so rang back (got through!) and stopped him.

So mixed feedback.... HIH!

Thanks for the answers.

I think I'll probably get the HP Laserjet 1010 then. It's also 200 kr.
(~$30) cheaper than the other one here in Denmark.

Greets, Jens.
