ive read answers on here that say go to windows explorer and broswe to c:
program files.
how do i do that?
ive open windows explorer but do not know what to do next.
thanks

you open windows explorer by any of the following:

double clicking on the "my computer" icon on your desktop.
holding on the window key+E.
clicking on start > my computer.
clicking on start > run > type "explorer" (without the quotes).

you go to c: by any of the following (after you have opened windows
explorer):
at the address bar, you type "c:" (without the quotes).
pull down the meny of the address bar and click on the drive c: icon.
clicking on the folder icon (if it has not been depressed yet) and then
clicking on the + next to my computer and then clicking on the drive c icon.

i hope this helps!

regards,
dennis

Double-click My Computer. If My Computer is not on your Desktop, you can
get to it from the Start menu.

Once you have the My Computer window open, double-click on your C: drive
(if C: is the drive on which Windows is installed).

Then double-click on Program Files.

Based on your post, you should consider buying a book about basic
computer use and/or having a local professional or a knowledgeable
friend (a *really* knowledgeable friend, not just someone who says he
is) come to give you some lessons. I am *not* saying this to hurt your
feelings; we all have our areas of expertise. You will be more
comfortable and productive on your computer if you learn to use it and
having someone come to your house and help you is a very good way to do
that.

Actually, the "For Dummies" series is supposed to be pretty good. Look
for a more basic one about using a computer. Go to the bookstore and
look for a beginner's book that appeals to you. Skim through it and see
if it addresses your questions. Or have someone train you in person.
You know yourself best - some people learn more easily by having
someone show them something and then by doing the thing themselves
under supervision. That method works best for me. Other people are
happier using a book and following along.
