Hi folks,

We are on a Win2k domain with multiple sites. Some of our
users have the AT&T Global Network Dialer installed. When
the dialer is connected the user maintains a connection to
the LAN, but connections to other parts of the networks
(other subnets)is broken. AT&T support states that there
is a solution but indicates that this is a Microsoft
issue. Does anyone know this solution.

This is probably a default gateway issue. When a client establishes a
dialup connection, its existing default gateway is usually demoted and
replaced by the dialup connection as the default. (This is certainly the
case with Windows dialup or VPN clients).

The best solution is to configure static routes on the client for your
private subnets, rather than depend on default routing. These take priority
over the default setting.

How would I go about configuring static routes on the
client for the other subnets?
