Dear Bodhi

Oh dear, I'm sorry. Having a husband who plays football alot (used to play semi professionally) I have lost count of the number of times that he's had football injuries including broken bones. His advice is: when your injury has healed sufficiently to return to the great game, always strap the offending ankle as it will be weaker and could be susceptible to further problems. Rest it loads at the moment too.

Get well soon!

Can i suggest that you strap a good heatsink and fan to the injured ankle, using Arctic Silver5 of course, then when you play next it will keep your ankle cool as an aid to healing and anyone who tries to clobber it again will probably break their own ankle - especially if you use one of the big copper thermaltake jobbies!:D

(Sorry...just can't keep my mind off computers:o)

As you have been told before, definatley tape that ankle up or get an neopreme support, but also make sure to wear higher cut socks. In all the crazy violent stuff I've done in the years, tape, and braces are targets. Yes rest the ankle, though when the pain from fracture is gone, do try to move it a bit with your hands, just enough to keep the joint fluid. As far as injuries go, AHAHAHAHA ( I am clinically unfit to ever again participate in full contact sports-- though I still do, just have to sign a waiver) Injuries chronologically ordered, and how- Broken Arm(US. Football); Broken thumb(Lacrosse); Boken pointer and middle finger(European Handball); Broken middle finger(US Football); Torn meniscus(wrestling); Chipped Knee cap(wrestling); Bruised rips (wrestling); Multiple concusions-(2 Football,1Wrestling,1 Car accident)
