broadcasting 2 IP addresses

Our Exchange server for some reason is broadcasting two IP
addresses, 192.168.1.5 and 192.168.234.235. The first IP
address is the correct one however the second one is not
and both IP addresses are showing up in DNS therefore
causing some PCs to have problems with Exchange. The
server has two NICs and I have disabled the second NIC
because we are not using it. The first NIC has the
192.168.1.5 address.

When I do an IP config it shows the one correct address
for the ethernet adapter but also displays the PPP adapter
with the 234.235 address. How do I disable this or is
there any other way to prevent our Exchange server from
broadcasting the wrong address?

In your DNS server properties select the interfaces tab and put in the IP
address you want DNS to listen on instead of all IP addresses.

DNS will create a host record for the host name of the machine for each IP
it is listening on.

.

It is possible that the first NIC is configured with both
of those addresses. Click the Advanced properties in TCP-
IP and check to be sure there is only one IP address
listed.

That was the first thing I checked and it's only
configured for one.

Crazy's suggestion did not work. The wrong IP still
reappeared in DNS. Anyone know how to remove the PPP
adapter?

It it just the blank record?
DCs will create a blank record for all IP addresses on the you can stop
these records from being created but you must manually create the blank
records you need.
