I am so confused! My setup is:
A Dell with Win XP and an HP with Win98. I use a cable
modem for internet connection. So each PC could access the
internet I connected a D-Link 604 Ethernet Broadband
Router. That all works just fine. Now I want to be able to
access either PC from either system. I have tried
everything, even know the IP addresses for each on the
router - but no can get there from here.
What is the best way to accomplish a peer-to-peer network
setup under these conditions and with this equipment; or do
I need something else? I know my way around PC's and
Windows and had a peering setup between 3 PC's using NIC's;
this option I cannot use in this situation. Technical
answers shouldn't stump me so please....Help!
