Can anyone advise me please of a method of analysing the total bandwidth
utilisation of client in my LAN. I need it broken down by each host, I cant
just use the taskmanager and I want it to be seamless and transparent to
users. I want to analyse

I have downloaded a trial of Netasyst (sniffer), which does exactly this but
really the cost of it is well outside of our remit as we are only a software
house of <10 permanent users.
I only really need software that can produce the list of hosts (or even ip
or mac addresses would do) against the realtime (or daily total) or packet
use - to isolate network problems or abuses.

I am interested really in only cheap sw or shareware, or a Microsoft tool to
achieveing this.

Thank you,
Tony

Its actually a work adsl connection, I meant to say. NOT a single user
broadband connection.

Answered my own question. The MS tool in 2000 is network monitor, which
although I thought was local, actually captures complete network traffic of
course.
Doesnt seem to be in 2003 server.

However it does not resolve hosts names but thats of small consequence in a
small office.
