Are you on cable or DSL? I can fax just fine on my DSL connection. I have a
signal splitter on the modem.

You can still can if you have your old modem installed! (if fax option) .
but if you're using xp then you can use there fax option. The program isn't
installed by default so you'll need your cd handy. Browse the cd to e:\i386
or whatever your drive letter is. Once that's done go to start programs ->
communications -> fax -> fax console. click on file and click on send fax.
Fill out the fields n send away!

You cannot use a broadband connection ( dsl , cable or satalight ) to fax
with , they cannot dial a phoneline access number. A dialup modem must be
installed and configured with a fax program. The XP fax program works great
but I believe the interference of DSL line or leakage of both signal using
the same phone line slows down a dialup modem when both are used at the same
time. Jym

I use DSL and do have a cable splitter - I can use the Internet and the
phone aty the same time -

Should this work?
