Hi,
is there a way of setting up my broadband connection
icon, so it connects itself when doubled clicked on,
without me constantly having to put in the password.

Does your broadband connection have an icon in Network Connections? When
you double click this icon, you should see an area where you can type in
the user name and password. Check the box to save this information. Also,
move the radio button next signify which users are allowed to use this
connection (just you or everyone).

If you'd like to create a desktop shortcut for this item, right click on it
and select Create Shortcut. A message will appear telling you that a
shortcut cannot be created where requested - would you like the shortcut
to be placed on the desktop. Say yes.

NOTE: If your ISP uses its own connection software to make an online
connection, the directions above do not apply and will not work. Consult
the help documentation for the ISP's software for information about storing
the user name and password.
