Anyone have any idea when British English will be an option for Windows
Mail, I'm kind of tired having to ignore suggestions for words that are
correct....... colour/color!

There hasn't been so much as a hint that this disgraceful
state of affairs is likely to be rectified.

Heh-heh. Somehow I never saw the advantage to spelling a word
like 'center' in a non-phonetic way: centre.

Yes, and I never will understand why 'phonics' isn't spelled 'fonics' :)

Centre - after the Latin Centrum. As British English is millennia old and
Latin was, at one time, the language of all scholars throughout Europe, that
spelling never changed on that side of the Atlantic, nor this side, north of
the 49th parallel.

At least the old Romans had the common sense to pronounce their
Latin as it was written (phonetically). I studied Latin for two years
and am well acquainted with it.

Latin was compulsory in my high school in the UK. A great help when trying
to learn other languages.
