Hi,
I configured the XPe image to meet the miniumum hardware devices
configuration.
After I boot the system up, it went to the command prompt.

Any one knows how to add the GUI back, so at least I can see windows?

Thanks!

You will have to have Winlogon in your component in order to get a Windows
UI, but that will increase your footprint, and you will have to add
additional components or tweak settings in the User Interface Core component
to get additional functionality (eg Run, context menu's, Desktop icons,
Start menu settings etc).

Hope this helps,

Greg,

To add to Lynda's reply. Sounds like your using the Command Shell. If you
have a windows application you can start it from the prompt and you will see
the application runs normally. If you want Explorer Shell you going to have
replace the Command Shell with Explorer Shell.

It worked for explore shell, but I want to also add some programs to the
start menu, ex, windows explore. Or add run to the menu.
How to do that? Thanks!

You need to include the User Interface Core component in your configuration.
Change the settings in this component by clicking on Settings, then putting
check marks in the boxes that you want to include e.g. include Run on the
Start menu, or Show All Programs.
