Briefcase 2000 issues

I was using briefcase to sync my laptop(Win/Millenium)
with my desktop (Win/2000), and it worked great for me. I
recently installed a new hard drive in my laptop and
installed Win 2000 as the operating system (now both
computers have the same OS). Since then I cannot get
briefcase to work right, it starts normal checking and
comparing files, but when I tell it to update it seems to
bog down the cpu and the hard drive seems to get caught up
in a loop, neverending. I've looked for updates or patches
but have found nothing to date...can anyone help?

I'm presuming you created a new briefcase?

All I can say is I've had too much trouble with briefcase & "offline files"
both - I recommend SecondCopy (www.centered.com) as it's easy, works like a
champ, and is cheap! Free 30 day eval available. I have no affiliation
w/this company other than liking this product. :-)
