I am using Word 2000. I just noticed that it has started breaking words at
the end of a line. It seems that it used to move the whole word to the next
line if it would not fit. Have I changed something?

Thank you,

Hi John

have a look under tools / language / hyphenation - make sure automatically
hyphenate works in unchecked.

This usually indicates that Word has started regarding the text as being
"decorative." If you use a "decorative" (symbol) font, Word can break it
anywhere because strings of symbols are not regarded as "words." This could
be caused by a damaged font file or something odd about the language
applied, but usually it's symptomatic of a corrupt document. See
