Does anyone know of a function or macro on how to identify a break poin
in a XY scatterplot curve? The curve generated is always curvelinea
and I'd like to know the X value at which Y deflects. I have searche
all threads and attempted on numerous occasions to use Exce
formulas/macros but can't seem to figure it out myself. Any help woul
be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Be

Not that I know of. If you know the function, compute where its first
derivative equals zero; or use an an add-in like the AutoChart Manager
(available from my web site) to do the same while simultaneously
plotting the function.

If all you have are data points, you will have to eyeball the result.
You can use the 'smooth curve' option, gridlines and adjustments to the
min./max. values of the x- and y- axes to 'zoom in' on any particular
segment of the chart.

Thanks. All I have are the data points so I guess I will continue to
eye-ball it.
