I have a utility that is able to do some simple auditing on the network. On
the Dell and HP computers and other brand name computers it is able to pull
the serial numbers. However, my whiteboxes all have either 0123456789 or
"To be filled in by OEM" listed as the serial numbers. Is there a utility
that I need to update these boxes with serial numbers? Is this a feature
built into some motherboards/bios?

You might want to contact the people who sold you the
equipment so the software utilities that you need.

Depends where the utility is getting the serial numbers. What does their
customer support say? Is it checking the hardware or something in Windows?
