OK there has gotta be a way to do this. I bought a new
computer and want to transfer all my e-mail, addresses,
identities and favorites to the new computer. Is there
any one program that will do this easily? I know I can
export all but the identities seperately. Or is there a
way to export that also. Any help would be good.

Outsourcing to other countries

How to Fight It:

When you call for tech support, and determine that it is coming out of another country, (it is
getting harder to tell, so have a game plan ready) make the call last as long as possible.
Try to work your way up to the next level.
Pretend to be ignorant and obnoxious, within tolerable limits, and keep going up levels until
you get an answer with which you are "satisfied".
If possible, ask them to call you back.
If asked for feedback, report that you are not satisfied.
If not asked for feedback, write and report a lack of satisfaction. There is usually an easy
link. They want to know..
The support group/system/company outsourcer who can deliver tech support for the least money
gets the contract. (for the most part)
Their bottom line is rated on SLA (service level agreements).
Service level Agreements cannot be met if phone time is too long and customer satisfaction is
low.
Call backs are killers.

And ( I really don't like this part - I was a Republican) if you get lame support from a person
who is in this country, consider taking one for the team..
Really good people are getting canned along with the bad.
Hang up on idiots quickly, and call back. Chances are that you will get someone better when you
call back.

========================
We are taking ourselves down... and on a less selfish level, if we go down, who is going to do
the good things we do?
What country will take up that slack?
We are far from perfect, but it is not yet time to self-destruct.

Unfortunately I'm going from an ME system to an XP
system. Me doesn't have that Wizard. Could it be
available from MS for use in ME?

Did you have an actual contribution to make to the thread, or was
inserting your off-topic political agenda your only goal?

Greg:
As the title suggests, the "Files and Settings Transfer Wizard" is a
part of Windows XP -- you launch it on your XP machine and it will walk
you through the process. You will create floppy disks that you take to your
ME machine and harvest your files and settings. Then you will bring the
files and settings disks from your ME machine back to your XP machine.

Be advised -- if you have a lot of files on the ME machine, you will a
need CD burner on that machine, or you will need a large box of floppy
disks.
