Bottom panel of IE 6.0 missing

The bottom panel of my IE is missing. I use Win XP and IE 6.0, regularly update IE and WIn XP.
The botton panel is the one that shows the SSL icon and othr stuff...instead I just have a border

This is the secnd time that this has happend . the first time, I reinstalled winXP and stuff.

I think it has to do with the "age of mythology" demo that seems to corrupt the IE files..

I hate reinstalling everything again...i would appreciate it if you guys could suggest a way to remdy this problem
