Hi all.

We're trying to make a slide where the movie has border graphics or images
that actually overlay the movie at certain points but we have noticed that
sending the movie to the back and stating that the images should be at the
front is OK when designing the slide but when the movie starts it
immediately comes to the foreground and the pictures are sent to the back...
which is not the right effect.

Has anyone come across this before and is there a work around?

All the best,
Tony

An .avi, .mpg or .swf(flash) file will always be on top in PowerPoint. You
can give it a border with the Line Color tool, but that is about it...

Thanks for that Troy.

Not the answer I was hoping for though.

Is that a "feature" of Powerpoint that is fixed in later versions or is that
just the way it is?

All the best,
Tony

That's just the way it is, Tony. At least right now. I'm hoping for
improvements in that area in future, though.

Hi Echo.

According to someone in MS it's due in part to GDI... which they say will be
going shortly from their platforms.

All the best,
Tony
