I am creating a powerpoint presentation in Powerpoint 2002 on a windows XP
machine. When I play it on a Windows 2000 machine Borders appear around the
text items. How do I keep this from happening.

Thanks

Are the borders appearing on the text during slide show mode, or only
when you're editing, or both?

Do the borders look like lines? Do they appear on all textboxes, or just
some? Maybe only on animated text?

What version of PPT is on the Win2k machine?

The borders look like borders and I am using PowerPoint 2000 on the machine
that is giving me the problem.

Thank you for your patience.

Hi, Ray, sorry to be so long getting back to this. I was hoping others
might have some ideas here, because I'm not sure what would be causing
this.

One possibility is that you've used some kind of transparent or
semi-transparent line in PPT 2002 on the textboxes. PPT 2000 doesn't
understand PPT 2002's semitransparency, so it could be showing up as
solid borders.

Another possibility is that you've inserted the PPT 2002 slides into a
different presentation on the PPT 2000 machine. You didn't mention that,
though, so it may not be the issue (even though that's one of the only
things I can think of now!). That one I'd attribute to a different color
scheme. There's information on my site at
http://www.echosvoice.com/colorschemes2.htm about why objects change
colors when imported into different presentations.

Another possibility is video drivers, but if borders are showing up on
all the textboxes, I doubt that's the problem.

Hmmmm.

Anybody got any ideas?
Ray, do you have any more information for us to work with?

Thanks I think that helped me.
