Answer is a matter of opinion. Mine is: Never. Bootvis simply runs the
behind the scenes optimization that XP does automatically.
If a system is *extremely* slow to start, the timeline report produced by
bootvis might be useful. Once you have that report in hand, bootvis adds
nothing else to the pot and is no longer needed. While disabling or
uninstalling the program, it's very important to disable the reporting
function first. If you forget to do this, the report file remains behind
and it will continue to grow to an alarming size.
