BootTool with timestamp?

P

Pepper

Hi all,

Does somebody know a tool, which is log (with a time stamp) the boot from
windows xp sp1?

My problem is, that after the user is logging on at the nt-domain, the
computer is from time to time freezing for about 5 min. During this 5min I
can't do anything.
Now I need a tool which is logging every service, dll,... and verry
important the time how long it takes to start or to register, because it
isn't happen at every startup!

I already tried the bootvis. Eventviewer is nothing reporting. In boot.ini I
added the /bootlog, this is nice but doesn't help me:-(!

thanks for your help NG,
Patric

Ensure that you have good DNS name resolution in your environment.
All Windows XP clients should point to an internal DNS server that is
authoritative for the domain.

If that is OK, then you might want to enable UserEnv logging
and take a network trace to see where the delay is:
