Boots Chemists "Minor Ailments Scheme"

I didn't know about that - it's pretty useful to know. It would certainly relieve some of the burden from doctors if mums with sick children (ie coughs and colds etc) made use of this.

Did you know about it?

It used to be called ... "visit your chemist" ... and ask for advice!

I see you can now get free prescriptions, I could go there and get some Lemons, Honey & Whisky on free prescription for my bad cough!

I could get the paracetamols too, naw. :)

Awww Mucks do I detect a hint of Sarcasm in your text? ;) lol

Usually people who need meds have to pay. Unless you are unemployed, aged etc. This scheme is to help those of the same statue (if registered) to simply get the things they need via a chemist without getting a prescription first or even paying.

I have many a time had to wait at a doctors over an hour at times to get to see one only to be given a Prescrip' and then had to wait another 30mins while it was got together for me. Surely this is a better idea? Simply walk into a Boots chemist and ask for the same things (if on list and offered and registered) instead of wasting your and a Doctors time?

I personally did not know about this, I will be registering in near future

yeah, a touch of sarcasm I suppose ... but, with my circumstances, I have generally been able to get certain 'meds' off any chemist for free ... I do, however, accept something on these lines is way overdue.

It's the simple things that matter. :)
