Hi out there,

the situation:
WIN2000-Server (i'm not allowed to touch it since it wasn'n conf by me)
is DHCP-server(fixed addresses) & ActiveDiretory Domain Controller for
about 15 Clients.

If I'm running TCPDUMP i see that it sends every 10-12 minutes the
following:
7:49:38 NWSERVER.XXX.de.bootpc > 255.255.255.255.bootps: secs:2560
flags:0x8000 C:169.254.137.190 ether 0:0:0:0:0:0 file ""[|bootp]
17:49:38 NWSERVER.XXX.de.bootps > 255.255.255.255.bootpc: flags:0x8000
C:169.254.137.190 ether 0:0:0:0:0:0 file ""[|bootp]

What the hell is That & how can i get rid of this behaiour ?
No BOOTP-Client around !

THX 4 any hints
Stefan

Hello Stefan,

If you were to enable the DHCP logging and compare the logs to those times,
do you see a correlating request from a client?
