Booting XPe

My custom target hardware has a CF "IDE disk" which I'm not too keen to
keep running FBA on.

I have USB access but not IDE. I have a USB memory stick that I can
boot into DOS but what I would really like is to make my Freecom Classic
SL hard drive bootable over USB to run FBA. Does anyone know how or if
I could achieve this?

Thanks.

The best way to get XPe running on CF is to run FBA on the CF card. USB boot
is a little difficult since XP/XPe will not boot from a USB device. There is
the uDOC (ww.m-sys.com) and Dietmar's USB
(http://www.winusb.de/index_en.html.) boot solutions.

What could work is ff you want to copy the image to the USB HDD (Freecom
Classic SL), and then removae and install the HDD as a IDE drive in the
target.
