My floppy controller on my FIC P4-865PE MAX motherboard quit working
and I don't want to change boards so I was thinking about getting a
USB floppy drive but I don't know anything about them so I don't know
if you can put in a bootable disk and boot with it?
Will it take drive letter A: like a normal floppy?

Thanks

Depends on whether the motherboard bios supports that.

Another option is to get an add-in disk controller card and
jumper it to disable everything but the floppy controller.
