Hi,
I have Win XP Home
I have a problem with my boot sequence.I do not have my keyboard until I get
to the the welcome page.
I would like to have the use of my keyboard at the start of the boot.
Could anyone tell me how I can do this?

Thank you

Robert Craig

If the keyboard is a USB-type you might need to enable legacy USB
support in the BIOS. If it isn't already enabled, pressing the key
combination that gets you into the BIOS may not work either. In that
case, you'll need to borrow a "regular" keyboard, with a PS2 plug, to
get there.

What do you mean a "problem with my boot sequence"?

What are you trying to do "at the start of the boot" that you can't do
and think you should be able to do?

Are you trying to get into the BIOS/configuration before Windows
starts and can't, are you trying to get into something other than a
normal boot (like Safe Mode) and can't, is Windows offering you boot
choices and you can't select the one you want, do you want to boot
from a DVD/CD/floppy/USB and Windows is only booting on your HDD, etc.

Thanks alot Elmo.

I didn't have another keyboard,but had a USB toPS2 plug.I plugged it in to
the PS2 slot and it worked.I also went into the BIOS and checked the "Boot
USB Plugins First"
Thanks to all that answered.

Jose,

To answer your questions.
1. I need my keyboard to get into my BIOS
2. I have a Clone Program (DriveClone Pro) and it is loaded pre windows. If
I don't have my keyboard working I can't get into the Restore Points if my
Windows will not boot.
By the way how do you get into your BIOS without a key board?.

Thank you for your answer

Robert

So why not keep using the USB to PS2 adapter? In doing so you will free
up a USB port for something else.
