Booting problem

My computer doesn't want to get pass the startup screen. I can't even press F1 to get the boot setup screen. When it freezes, the keyboard lights don't come on. I have a HP desktop. It reboots sometimes when I when I turn off the power strip for about 2 hours and turn it back on. Any suggestions??

Sounds like it could be a loose component.
Are you comfortable with taking the side off your PC, and removing and reseating firstly the Graphics card, (impossible if built in!!) - Secondly remove and reseat your RAM DIMM's.

Does it beep?
What kind of beep? Long? short? how many?

What's the full model name & number please?
