Booting of PC and Viewing the POST

Hi, After setting my computer up I diabled the BIOS Screen showing, I can't
remember how to enable it as I want to re-install my OS Wndows XP Home.

Has anyone come across this before?
 
On most computers running Windows (if not all) you access the BIOS by
restarting the computer and constantly tapping either F2 or Delete.

You don't need to see the POST messages in order to install Windows, but if
you want to see them anyway, there is a setting for that in the BIOS.

Tapping F2 or Delete harder won't make the BIOS appear any faster. I know
this, because I tried it. ;->

Note that what operating system you have installed, or even whether *any*
operating system is installed, is completely irrelevant to how the BIOS
setup program is accessed. It's definitely not true that all computers use
F2 or Delete, although Delete in particular is very common.

How to get into your BIOS depends, not on Windows, but on what
motherboard/BIOS you have. As a matter of fact, you have to access the BIOS
before Windows even starts to boot. One common way is to press the Del key
when you first power on, but that's not necessarily right for your computer.
Watch the screen carefully when you first boot; there's often a message
there telling you what to do. If not, check your system documentation or
check with your vendor.

Or just try the Del key. That's very common (much more so than F2) and
there's a good chance that's correct for you.
