booting error

Has anyone come across an error when the computer is
booting with windows XP Home that says, "windows cannot
find 'copy'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and
then try again. To search for a file, click the start
button, and then click search."? Keep in mind this error
comes up as the operating system starts, before I type or
click anything.

Several users have reported in these newsgroups that this error message is
a result of having some adware called "winshow" installed. Information and
