My motherboard has the option to boot from various USB drives (Zip, HD,
CDROM). Is there a way to make a DOS boot "disk" on a flash drive for things
like BIOS updates etc?

Enable legacy USB support in BIOS setup so that the USB flash drive is
detected during POST. Then you can boot from a DOS diskette, and fdisk
and format /s the flash drive.

What is this "diskette" of which you speak?
Some form of storage used by the ancients?

Seriosly though, don't have a floppy drive.
Which is why I asked the question in the first place!
