I have an internal Zip 100 that I would like to make a boot device.
When I set the BIOS to look at the Zip first in the boot order, it
doesn't boot from the Zip, it boots from the hard disk. Does anybody
know if this is possible?
Thx

The only way I was able to make a Zip disk "bootable" was to use the "Norton
Zip Rescue" utility (Win95 & 98) that came with it. However, you had to boot
with booth a floppy and a Zip in their drives. It would first boot from the
floppy then change to an O/S on the Zip.

I know this is not what you were asking for, but it was all I could
remember.

I was willing to even try that, but I couldn't find the "Zip Boot"
utility on Symantec's web site. I've pretty much given up and I'm
spending my time learning how to build boot images for CD's. It makes
more sense anyways. CD's are bigger and cheaper.
Thx for the info.

It is at the iomega site:
http://www.iomega.com/software/nzr.html
However I think it only works for Win9* O/S.

Let me know what you find. I am thinking of using my DVD burner/rewriter.
Good luck!
