I am unable to get my xp cd to boot up to repair, my cd
rom is working ok i need to try a repair as my system
keeps freezing any help

Try cleaning the CD.

Freezing is frequently due to your failure to go to each
and every manufacturers site for the bits and pieces of
your system and get their XP drivers. Just going to
windows update is not enough. Before you attempt something
as radical as a repair install why not go into your event
viewer in the admin tools in control panel and look for
any red Xs and double click them to open a details window.
These frequently give clues as to the cause of your
problem. If you insist on doing a repair put your CD in
the drive and when prompted for a choice click install XP
and follow the on screen instructions for a repair
install. Keep smiling.
