Boot with a flash memory drive?

Is it possible to get my P4P800D to boot from a USB flash card reader? Or, am I just asking too much?

I see it listed in BIOS, I set it to boot, then back in WinXP & I can't format the card as a bootable floppy. Just copying the boot
files over does not work.

It is unlikely that a flash card reader will work. However, some USB pen
drives ARE capable being used as a boot device. You must check each one
since there are several variations of the mass storage driver that they
use and only one is capable of booting (I think). The following link is
an example of one that is capable:
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduct.asp?description=20-180-713

Note that the description on this says nothing about being bootable, but
the package and instructions indicate it is (I just got one.) I haven't
tried it yet but will someday.

Thanks. I thought that to be true also, but...

I just don't have a "need" for a USB pen, although I want one real bad! <g>
